A new look is coming!

The NottAlone website will have a new look soon – but it’ll still have the same great content and support.

Accessibility

Our approach to accessibility.

Accessibility is about making our online information available to as many people as possible, whatever their needs.

For example, that means you should be able to:

  • change colours, contrast levels and fonts
  • zoom in up to 300% without the text spilling off the screen
  • navigate most of the website using just a keyboard
  • navigate most of the website using speech recognition software
  • listen to most of the website using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver)

We’ve also made the website text as simple as possible to understand.

We aim for this website to meet the World Wide Web Consortium Accessibility Guidelines (version two) "Double-A" standard. This is currently the recommended minimum standard for council websites.

This site has been designed with this in mind and we ask all contributors to the website to use Nottinghamshire County Council’s Digital Design Manual in order to try to make content as accessible as possible.

If you have difficulty accessing any area of our website please let us know by emailing digitalconnectivityenquiries@nottscc.gov.uk
